Yet more rain for most of today, everything is a soggy mess outside! Hope the sunshine returns tomorrow at least, looks like more rain next week. Some tantalising hints of much colder weather in FI...personally I'd prefer snow arriving after Xmas but if any comes before I'll be excited of course :)

shows a potential for a few gusty days here

Good evening everyone. Happy Birthday Snow Raven Posted Image , don't mind if I do.

Edging ever closer to the first frost of the season here in the outer suburbs with a minimum of 1.2c this morning, only climbing to 7.4c eventually. That was a nice little bonus for those of you further south who like a bit of thunder and lightning ( sorry Tamara ) but all we had here was rain. Hve a great weekend folks. Posted Image

Thanks for the thought, but fortunately the shield held yet again and thunder stayed in the distance as it turned outPosted Image The rest of the morning and into the afternoon was just plain cold rain.

Same here just rain, but very heavy at times. Looked like dusk at midday.

The only problem with that is that it means the Daily Express headlines of a few weeks ago would almost be right .Not about the worst winter in 100 years just the snow in November but then again my dog could say that there is a chance of snow in November. However beautiful day in Eastbourne, not a cloud in sight.

Fine and sunny here (like probably everywhere else...)

I've been reading a thread on the typhoon this morning and wish I hadn't. It's left me feeling melancholy on this Remembrance Sunday. Posted Image Thank God for our mild and temperate part of the World.

Morning all

Bright and sunny here this Rememberance Sunday, pleased the weather played its part for most.  Will be handy for the wander later to the next village.

Beautiful day.

Can't see many clouds here, and all the birds are about. Just saw great spotted woodpecker.

Bah Humbug, Work want us in over the holiday period ( I use holiday to be generic ) and on my own anyway, to me it is a few days off with the family, that I must admit I am looking forward to.  I can see me spending the rest of the period either out in the local nature reserves or holed up here doing artwork.

After a wet and wild week, what a difference a day makes! Sun out, roof down and off to my favourite part of the World:

The street drain outfall was really gushing a torrent with all the rain that's fallen over the last few days, set up quite an eddy:

Back to the working week tomorrow and wet again though Posted Image

Just popped in quickly  (out again shortly) as I needed to sort out the bin, birds and ready the ironing (oh and set the PVR to record Country file for later)

Been a fantastic day, walk was nice if a tad chilly but by no means cold.  Trying to decide if I need the frost screen on the car tonight or not....hummmmm...

I have noticed a lot of clouds recently that look very similar to steam towers that come out of industry chimneys or clouds that are almost vertical without them being of a Cu/CB type look.

Is this shaping caused by updrafts and at this time of year what do these clouds mean?
