Don't you wish our weather always come off the North Sea haha this is brilliant, hailing like mad now

No not really the one reason why easterlies are not good in spring for this region is on show for all this weekend and all of next week 20c in London today with the sunshine 8c to 10c for this region with the cloud

Both GFS and ECM hinting that winds will change direction later in the week to a south to south westerly if it does it will clear all this muck from the north sea and should enable the sunshine to get out more and enable to temperatures to lift

ECM going for temps around 16c on Saturday with a southerly wind and sunshine

GFS going for temps around 15c on Saturday with a south westerly wind early on veering round to a southerly

Cloud is breaking up in Darlo allowing the sun to get out which is making it warmer than of late very noticeable how strong the sun is now

A much sunnier afternoon today, but it was still chilly (about average for start of April)

Pollen levels will be on the rise for the region from tomorrow as the wind shifts round to a south to south westerly

Friday - Moderate

Saturday - High

Sunday - Moderate

Monday - Moderate

Along with the pollen levels rising pollution will stay moderate for the region on Friday and Saturday

Yes,we should finally see the back of this drizzly cold rubbish by tomorrow afternoon

after the front clears through.

Still looks unsettled at times over the weekend, but still a major improvement

over recent days and milder with it.

After the torrential rain earlier on its a totally different day now with the sky breaking up enough to allow the sun to break through

Looking at the radar it should be raining here but not a drop is falling very weird

Yep but the radar is showing 50% intensity so should be more than a few drops which has now stopped,

Glorious start in the NE unfortunately a weak front is moving south today introducing cloud and some patchy rain as the day progresses

We got down to -2.9C at 6am

Today's graph shows the sun's power well.
Note how the wind seems directly influenced by the sun too.

Some useful rain for the gardens and fields already.

Just passed 3mm which is hopefully enough to sprout barley sown last week!

The same again then warmer would be about ideal.

A cloudy start here in Darlington but its expected to get sunnier and warmer as the day progresses could hit 15c or 16c if we get lucky with enough sunshine

It feels warmish again with light winds and decent sunny spells, but wind is edging back to the NE again and air temperatures are down on yesterday as a result.
