Are we going to get any snow in darlington?? Had v heavy rain shower around 1pm and feels cooler now

Temperatures are too high for anything wintry just under 6c currently, its the wind chill which is making it feel colder than it actually is

In one of the showers this afternoon there was the tiniest amount of sleetiness.

Certainly felt very cold in that wind today.

Chance of some wintry showers in the early hours of monday morning with uppers of -5/-6 and sub-zero dewpoints.

Maybe some leading edge snow tomorrow morning on the hills.

Sleeting here, higher moors are white.

It hasn't been particularly heavy yet, if it gets heavier may well turn more to snow for a while. On 2C now. This cam is nearer the coast and shows little evidence of falling snow despite being higher.http://www.northyorks.gov.uk/IceStationCameras/033DBF5D_FFF59EAA_cam1.jpgSome others here you can see sleety stuff

It should start and ease as the afternoon progresses from the North west, we may even get some sunshine before dusk if we are lucky

Once the main band clears through we'll be left with scattered showers of which some will be wintry although nothing will stick at lower levels as the ground is simply too wet

If we get a lengthy clear spell later on tonight with temps dropping close to zero it will freeze over gav, then the snow will stick IF we get some snow showers later, bbc going with heavy snow around 11pm for us

Heavy sleet here in Peterlee, East Durham.

More snow in it than rain at the moment.
