Either my eyesight is as bad as ever or the first few snow flakes have fallen in amongst the rain in thornaby! More rain than snow though so its sleet

Showers seem to be intensifying as they hit the coast, a very heavy shower stretching from Ashington down to Teesside just coming ashore now

Wouldn't be surprised to hear reports of thunder in the next few hours.

How high are you?

 

I think he is around 150m asl and surrounded by 300m plus hills.

The roads are incredible out there!  Looks nasty and some more thunder rolling on from the sea now - nice night although was stood outside before and nearly S***t myself when the lightning went mad before - looked a right idiot jumping about just wasn't expecting it!

Oh yeah forgot you had that mate, I checked your weather station earlier and temp was 3.3c with 2.3 dewpoint and I thought that it would fall as rain but your now at 0.8c and dewpoint 0.0c very impressive temp drop when the showers came over. How accurate is your theoretical snow level as its currently showing 200ft which is very low!
