ECM forecast for Darlo next week shows some snow on Tuesday afternoon though it would be very marginal though with temps at 4c

Posted Image

At least the winds won't be coming in from the east so we should see plenty of sunshine instead of grey muck of the north sea

Have a deeks, 4wd, looks pretty cold indeed- and less marginal for Tuesday, and an ice day on Wednesday- but it's a long, long time away, meteorologically speaking.

Thats looks like the forecast for Wensleydale, Colin (4WD) is in Westerdale, but I can imagine his forecast will be similar to that as both areas are higher up and rurally located. Jammy sods

ECM still gives Darlo snow early next week, before a steady rise in temps on Thursday and Friday, although they remain low they are too warm for snow

Rather quiet in here considering the models on offer at present?

I'd have thought we will be in for some wintry showers at lower level surely?

yr.no (ECM forecast's) keeps pushing snow back, first it was Tuesday, then Wednesday and now its Thursday (based on Darlo)

It also shows temperatures recovering later next week (based on Darlo)

Tuesday 4c max - sunny intervals

Wednesday 2c max - lots of sunshine

Thursday 2c max - snow possible for the afternoon (delayed from Tuesday)

Friday 4c max - sunny intervals

Saturday 7c max - cloudy with rain at times

Sunday 4c max though it only goes to mid day so the high could be closer to 6c - cloudy with rain at times

You can check your forecast based on ECM here - http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/England/Darlington/long.html

To be fair Gav, I wouldn't be taking any forecast as gospel this far out in these kind of setups.

The setup would suggest wintry showers will be possible.

Not sure if you mean Darlo or not but we won't get -5 or -7 in Darlo ECM gives us a low of -3c GFS gives us a low of just -1c

Reading his posts, you'd think this was the Darlo thread, rather than the Far North thread. Posted Image
