Evening all

I'm So hungry after reading the last couple of pages!! Tonight's menu sounds delish. We had good ol shepherds pie and veg, perfect food for a chilly evening

We had a great day enjoying the autumn sunshine. we went out to collect a ton of twigs and leaves to make new trees as lots were broken in the storm. It was my sons idea (he is only 5) so with a little help from some Sellotape we now have a house full of 'trees' it's like the great outdoors in here. It was a beautiful day, some gorgeous clouds in the sky which we layed and watched for a while

6c outside now. Taking the bins outside was a cold task tonight. Can't wait to jump into bed...

afternoon looks wet and windy

 

a gusty west to south west wind incoming

now the problem here

 

the 976 low keeps its strength

 

a very strong north west wind

 

some heavy rain as well

 

will keep eye on for now

 

again need 2 more days to see how this low is sat

 

no worries yet but a watch maybe needed here

I think we are quite sheltered from a north west wind here, hopefully shouldn't be to bad. It's got to blow through the north downs to get here.

however the bit inbetween is the bit to watch as the isobars will tighten up before it changes to a north west

 

not worried yet as expect changes to occur on this

Hopefully it won't upgrade. Most operation are holding back on the strength, just some GFS ensembles really. Just looks like a miserable weekend, sums up my feelings about Autumn in a nutshell.

After last week's build up and the actual event, I think we've all got 'storm fatigue'. But I suppose we'll get what we're given.

Heigh-ho, heigh-ho. It's off to work I go!Warming up my car and it currently says 2.5c (changes in increments of .5c) and no frost which makes my life easier, also the charts didn't cement the 'St Judes Storm' until the morning of, so anything at this range could be hit or miss who knows. Edit: as of typing this its gone down to 2.0c.

Same here Mark N. clear skies and Temp. has dipped down several degrees since 6am to around 3c now with a touch of ground frost. That's more like it!

A bright clear morning here, plenty of dew on cars etc. today's the days our roof gets repaired so that's a good thing, hopefully stops the rain from coming into one off the bedrooms and the bathroom which will be nice, added bonus of a day off for me as well!

Crunchy nut and coffee for breakfast :-)

The grass has a sparkly white layer this morning. We have our first frost of the season.

Temps widely down to 3°C across Sussex this morning with one or two spots recording 2°C on the car temperature display. Quite a crisp start with a very nice sunrise and clear skies heralding a bright beginning to what might be a sunny day.

 

Much more seasonal feeling today but still the possibility of some strong gusts of wind along the South coast over the weekend and into early next week:

Lovely bright start to the day here but quite a chilly one, it's 5 deg c now...loving it, feeling much more seasonal now and how it should be late October
