yep I think I maxed out on about 10cm that day

Think I got 3-4 inches too. I'm just gutted I wasn't in the UK for the March cold spell, had some serious snow depths around here! :(

Looks as though it will be getting interesting here in about 2 hrs. Steady 25 mph and 11.3 c at the moment.

The wind is certainly picking up out there now. The neighbours who are yet to bring in their emptied bins may want to do so soon...

I was satisfied with Dec '10, was decent for NW midlands, got around 3 falls of 3 inches, NW midlands the least snowiest of the whole midlands

Can't see anything remotely wintry tomorrow unless the heavy part of the band of rain is a good 50 miles or so further south.

In the meantime lashing it down now with some very gusty winds and looks like quite the squall just west of us, finally!! some excitement.

12z EURO4 takes tomorrows precip right through us. :) Perhaps a little more marginal. Still think Black Country and Birmingham and surrounding higher areas doing OK. Still expect little if any settling snow but any falling snow would be appreciated to see!

If it's anything like that dreadful "documentary" on the storms over the last 2 years on Channel 4 the other night, I think I'll give it a miss!

Jan 5th 1998 gave me a good fall, huge flakes, similar setup to tomorrow, sleet/wet snow possible for a time, dumping of course 300m and higher

lol I think Gavin has some sort of fetish thing going on for charts showing high pressure.

You know that huge area of squally rain we were posting about earlier? I think it's safe to say it has arrived in Solihull right now Posted Image

Wind up to 30+ mph with gusts to 40+ temp still 11.5c, the first band of heavy rain seems to have gone through with another on the the way from Welshpool.

Im all for high pressure in Spring and Summer but we did a bit of excitement so now is good. Dont want damage etc though. Sadly Gavin is abusing the like system like no other and just liking posts only which conform to his agenda. Sadly it borders on trolling even if he doesnt mean too imo.
