Getting really gusty now, leaves blowing everywhere.

Still no sign of the TV aerial fitter.............he probably took one look at the forecast & decided "S*d this, I'm off down the pub for the afternoon" Posted Image

Some slightly scary gusts coming through now, the whole house is shaking and the wind is buffeting down the chimneys.

 There should be warnings?

Make me wonder how long before the power cuts?

Some heavy showers with small hail earlier this evening and a gust of 51 mph late this afternoon so nothing out of the ordinary here as yet.

I'm hoping for more heavy showers, and stronger winds, later this evening as the low begins to pull away to the east.

Frequent showers but none of them as heavy as those earlier this evening; a gust of 61 mph at 2235.

Fine for Solihull, as you are not exposed to constant rain off the cheshire gap

bbc are useless at cheshire gap rain, they always say dry

The temperature seemed to have dropped to as low as 5*C during the rain last night. Had it been around 3*C colder, it could have been cold enough for sleet. I guess the Solihull snow shield was just a bit too strong.

can see the nasty weather to my west, at the moment missing me to the west, but I expect to get wet later when winds swing round more westerly

We got down to 2.3C here during the early hours. Glorious wall-to-wall sunshine so far this morning.

Even though we're a few days into November, I'm struck by just how green many of the trees still seem to be - anyone else notice that? A legacy of our (very) late spring perhaps.

Autumn is a magical time of year, and one of the best times to go for a day out in the woods, I'm sure some good hard frosts will turn them leaves

and only then we wil see the Autumn experience

and them gorgeous colours with a mixture of red, brown, orange and yellow......Come on where are those hard frosts Posted Image

Funnily enough I've never been a fan of autumn for some reason, in fact it's the only season I don't particularly enjoy...............I just get impatient waiting for the white gold to arrive Posted Image
