Made my 20 mile drive to work OK with no problems, had to use different route at one point due to road closed as a tree had fallen.

No power cut at work which is a shame ;)

What's the chances of this next storm at the weekend the models are showing up being as bad or worse as this one just past?

Power out in a local village, so just off to take a flask of hot water to someone there. He's quite elderly. Posted Image

Still very blustery out there, and the clouds are starting to turn very dark.

My journey to work was fine.  I was only delayed as the Dartford Bridge was shut, and the traffic started queueing back onto the A13.  It did get a bit hairy once I had passed the bottleneck, and got going on the open A13 towards London.  The crosswind was terrible, and I felt a little uncomfortable overtaking some of the very slow moving highsided lorries.

Although it seems my location got away with this storm very lightly, my thoughts go out to those who were not so lucky....Posted Image

If it could be early or delay itself that would be fab. We have a fireworks party planned on Saturday.

Morning Rob,

The next weekends affair isn't currently looking quite as potent as last nights for the South, but quite a blow further North:

About 80% of last nights I'd guess at this early stage (in areas likely to be affected) and according to GFS.

Seems really odd to go out and see most trees bare now when yesterday they were in full leaf. It's like winter happened overnight.

The weird thing is most trees I've seen still have leaves, I think it's cause they are on the sheltered slope. The north down trees still look pretty green.
