Just lost some roof tiles.

That's the total pain in these situations. Posted Image

Strongest winds so far here just now. Windows creaking. Banging noises outside.

Well erm....

It was windier yesterday so far

If Carol's isobaric chart was absolutely accurate, you'll have a different opinion in a couple of hours. She also mentioned Our area (Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Herts and north London) is due for something nasty very soon.

Winds are REALLY picking up here now!  Posted Image

Morning al, I hope everyone is safe !

A wet and windy night has turned into something really wild in the last 40 minutes or so here - the wind has a roar to it and the rain is lashing down !

I'm not sure at the moment, it's strange given the forecast to wake up to just a moderate breeze and clear skies. Maybe the triangle of doom is playing it's non-event trumpcard again Posted Image

Anyway have to go on a double decker bus to Norwich soon, because the government thinks it's much safer than taking a train Posted Image

wish I could talk my son out of heading out in about an hour for work. He has only been driving about a month so not too experienced.. I have the tv on saying about the saying about the worst not here yet, and reading reports on here but he just says 'oh its not that bad'.. yes son I would love to be proved wrong.

Been some very strong gusts here over past hour. I couldn't sleep due to noise and pain so been up watching. Keep getting calmer periods but seems to be more gusty each time it picks back up.

Someone flicked a switch and it has just gone from windy to crazy.  Am surrounded by huge trees and can't believe the angle they are at.  The air is full of flying debris and it is howling.  Windows creaking. Those cars I saw driving out a bit earlier as they thought we were through the worst of it......  I'm not going anywhere.
