The forecast of strong winds has rather overshadowed the potential for rain. There is a HUGE amount of heavy rain out there, with rates at 6mm/hr, and it's not moving all that quickly!

that is seriously messy

we have the south west lot

and now a second rash of real proper gusty showers from the west-north west incoming fast

lightning strikes being recorded as well

i can see why the level 2 warning has been set up for the south east by estofex tomorrow

back soon

hate to say this but the low is only over cornwall area

as that shifts north east the isobars are likely to tighten more

and the low is expected to become deeper as well

keep safe

Pressure down to 980mb now. Wot a drop!

Would that mean that the storm is going to intensify as forecast when it hits Suffolk? Don't like the sound of a sting jet either much which is another feature they warned about.

Just been on the bad weather forum and they said the center of the low is just off the north cornwall coast !!!!

The rain is heavy here, wind has picked up but does not seem as strong as those of you on the coast.
