The wind is really bad here, I can see the tree moving slightly

I liked it because it's funny but seriously folks there is still another few hours yet before the potentially damaging winds are expected to arrive

Here comes the rain.....

post-10773-0-89420200-1382909374_thumb.j

.....this will track NE during the night with some heavy stuff to come, given the ground is saturated and drains possibly blocked with leaves and debris there is a real risk of flooding

On the very night we may be about to take a  ' Walk on The Wild Side '.

Great artist. Walk on the Wild Side is one of my all time favourite driving songs.

Worst rain ever - Horizontal Icelandic rain! That stuff HURTS!! Light rain in Peterborough at the mo.  Still as windy as it has been most of the day

Not really funny when this is happening in Newhaven! Watch the video and have some respect for the emergency services!

Just looked at xcweather and they seem to have the storm tracking over France?? with nothing North of the South coast getting much at all...although clearly radar images show otherwise.

Apart from "perfect day" which was the most awful, boring song I've ever heard, it all our ruined christmas music when that tune was played

Note, don't go swimming in rough seas!

Oh and I have respect for the emergency services, not sure why that was brought up!

Why the hell did that boy go out in those conditions

Raining here now.  Nothing to heavy, but everything is soaked.

Just seen my neighbour taking out his rubbish bin for tomorrows collection.  I wouldn't mind, but he has reminded me about 5 times today about the wind storm, and to make sure everything is secure.  Words fail me Posted Image

Miserable bunch in the severe weather forum .... They all seem to be trying to pointscore by seeing who can play this down the most. Much for fun in here to ride the pre event enthusiasm no matter what the outcome
