Im away from computer, any meaningful updates? Lots of drivel, I can't be assed to trawl thru it.

Latest news is: WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE... sometime in the future.

GFS high res bringing northern coasts of France more into the firing line now potential there for gusts of over 90mph, those close to the southern coasts are worst affected still the main concern still looks to be the Kent area where wind gusts could top 80mph for a time

Hi all, great site, found it through weather watch uk on fb.

Anyway, driving at 6am from Ramsgate (where we live) to Le shuttle on Monday morning. When in Calais we are driving through to a centre parcs in Holland. I know it's going to be a possibly hazardous drive, is there any chance this storm will be following us to our destination?

Bloody typical, would happen with this timing ;-) Thanks

Compared to Yesterdays 12z things seem a whole long stronger.

I will be climbing up my garden tree in my underpants with a bottle of red wine shouting at the storm "come on storm is this the best you've got, you cannot defeat me" funny mental image anyway!

I'll be going out for a 'Windaloo' Posted Image

The GFS may have the wind speed correct but maybe not the track? If it takes the track the MO are backing, you can understand the concern. Posted Image

Weather: Met Office Warns Of Severe Storm

Strong winds of up to 80mph are expected to strike the exposed coastal regions of England and Wales from Sunday night. England and Wales will be hit by a "significant storm" on Sunday night with winds of up to 80mph in some areas, the Met Office has warned. Forecasters say the storm is expected to bring "exceptionally strong winds" to parts of the UK when it strikes late on Sunday night. There were hopes the huge storm brewing over the Atlantic Ocean would miss the UK, and sweep instead through the English Channel. But meteorologists are now certain it will strike the south west of England and could leave a trail of destruction as it gusts north-east across the country, causing structural damage, and bringing down trees and power lines. The Met Office said winds of between 60mph and 80mph are expected across the southern half of the UK. In exposed coastal areas the winds may reach speeds in excess of 80mph.

Confused, someone says strongest winds now over France (NAE) then someone else posts a pic (NAE) showing strongest winds over South East. Can someone discount one or both ??

Well the METO are looking at WSW 35mph for Ramsgate on Monday and I would imagine very similar on the other side. Maybe slightly less. Having said that their warning for the south east is a tad higher,
