That's the thing, these set ups don't seem to happen when it's cold enough to snow..

 

It either sleets or buggers off into france :(, still though it feels more chilly than it did earlier and it's raining hard again

A wet and windy weekend looks to be on the cards for some in our region but quite frankly it is nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year. If anything it signals a return to normal/average October weather. I'm happy with that. Posted Image

It comes with a price Bb though, Those fence post's are min 2 ft in the ground,It snapped them like twigs,Mother nature can't beat her.Posted Image

In the 1987 hurricane, there was a 12 year old plantation of spruce trees with trunks about 25cms thick just across the track from our house in West Sussex.

 

They were all snapped off 1.5 metres from the ground like matchsticks. The wind must have torn through them. It was weird though because a few yards away, the other trees were more or less undamaged.

Morning all from a grey and overcast Stevenage. Quite warm at 10.4c at the moment. 

 

I have nothing much planned today which will involve going outside so the weather can do whatever it wants. :)

Surface winds not to much of a worry.. Only the East Coast Sunday afternoon as a strong on shore wind picks up..

wet and cloudy here too, and as I am working (from home) have no plans to leave the residence either  so it can do what it likes.

 

Only realised it was raining once it got light and was making a cup of tea when I saw out the kitchen window it was raining out (ah the wonders of double glazing to help you sleep at night and keep the weather and noise out and the warm and quiet in).

Blue sky here now after heavy rain for a couple of hours.

Make the most of it as the rest of the weekend looks like a very cool, wet and windy affair (and I am supposed to be out in it tomorrow too)

How lucky were Mr P and I yesterday in Wells - I think we might have seen the last of the blue sky and autumn sunshine for a while now though but it was great while it lasted....

Rain appears to have stopped (only just noticed so it may have stopped a while ago), sorting out washing and cleaning as I am staying snug indoors today (do need to venture out but only as far as the recycling bin in the garden:D )

Morning all, very pleasant start here in the brentford isleworth border towns!! Can near the distant drums of an Indian weddings lovely start for them, hope remains so. Lots of leaf debris on patio following last nights winds! Either that or the badger and fox had a scrap.
