rapid development of storms now coming ashore in Dorset....looks like AJ might yet get his first bang for ages (double entendres rule!....lol)

hmm....on second thoughts, just gave the other half that 'knowing' look and got my 'not a chance' look back....that'll be the double entendre out of the window then! Posted Image

Plenty of action outside your window looking at the latest radar.Posted Image

Actually looks pretty stormy here at the moment.

Will these storms dissipate overnight or pep up? I guess anything is possible after Sunday morning's cracking thunderstorm here :)

As it stands, that stream of storms hitting Dorset looks like it's got both Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshires names on it! Here's hoping for what would be a very balmy scenario for us at this time of year !!

Just saw three flashes of lightning in fairly quick succession off to the west, too far away to hear the thunder though. Sky looks really stormy!

Looks like you south coasters are in for a right treat. Plenty more bouts of thundery streamers organising themselves over NW France and the bay of Biscay. Unbelievable action for October, I guess laws of the average are taking their toll for the poor summer convection. Justice at last!

Actually looks pretty stormy here at the moment.

sadly the poole/bournemouth clump will slide away to my east.....heavy showers to my west and south west, anvils dominating that part of the sky, but the worst of these will slide to my west.....just waiting to see what further developments there are this evening/overnight....pretty confident of seeing some distant lightning if nothing else Posted Image

Just watched the Poole cell skirt by me, lots of frequent fork lightning and distant rumbling, looked to have lots or rotation about too with scud moving in all directions and various speeds.

More to come by the looks of the radar, could be an interesting evening :-)

Wow, the sky looks incredible, almost looks like a US supercell, with increasingly frequent lightning. Still haven't heard any thunder though.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
