I have just ironed my short sleeve shirts again for the week, so that is my expectations for the coming week.

A rather chilly 8c now. Finished my star gazing, now ready for a hot cuppa tea, and my bed. Not looking forward to Monday morning blues. But that will be off set, as I will be a proud daddy taking my youngest son to his first day at Reception tomorrow. Tissues and camera will be at the ready.... Goodnight all

A few edges of showers occasionally during today, but never amounted to anything at all really and much more importantly the thundery gunk stayed the other end of the countyPosted Image So the autumn shield is starting off intact how the summer one held for virtually the whole seasonPosted Image

Interesting day here, we had slate grey skies with a clap of thunder earlier as Bluebreezer reported. Then around 3:30-4pm it hammered down. Very chilly though. We had a massive family gathering earlier and it is crazy I have about 34 people in my close family so it was quite a large gathering. 9c currently, not sure if it only feels cold because its been such a good summer or because it is cold?

Morning folks,

Grey skies, spits and spots of rain, and a current temperature of 12.9°. I think it's safe to say it feels more like autumn than summer now.

Garden definitely showing signs of the change of season; feathers coming through on the pampas grass, autumn crocuses popping up from the ground (one has already been devoured by a slug Posted Image), and apples & pears falling off the trees.

Right, time to fish out the slug pellets!

Have a good day,

Lee

Morning AITS,

A marginal warming up at the end of the week by the looks of things though:

Damp and grey from Surbiton to Uxbridge this morning; drizzling outside my office window and the horizon is distinctly murky. Got home from a very wet Kingston yesterday afternoon to the smell of dust on the radiators being warmed up for the first time in months - yes, husband found it too cold and caved into the need for warmth indoors; even with it on for an hour this morning it was still rather on the cool side. My friend's concert in the park in Kingston had a variety of weather conditions - when I arrived soaked through from walking in a lengthy shower they were soldiering on surrounded by a small crowd bearing brollies, unable to sit on the seats which were waterlogged; I guess that's why it was the penultimate 'summer concert' of the season!
