Here's the risk for the SE later,

... leading to a forecast of precipitation.

Might be too late in the day, though, for t/storms to develop, but existing showers might get pepped up into one. Same risk for Norfolk/Lincolnshire

Going to be honest, it's not looking good here, definite cap on convection here. Mostly cloudy with extensive stratus Posted Image

Don't get too disheartened yet, El Capitano - there's a convective cell just to the WNW of here that's heading in your general direction...

Been raining pretty steadily here in Reigate for the last hour and a half and the temperature has dropped to just 10.5c. Turned out much wetter than forecast today, despite the beautiful start we got. Might have to light the fire soon!

A bit of rain, a bit of wind, and a current temp of 14.1°. Dare I say it actually feels a little autumnal out there?! Posted Image

Edit: Now 13.9°. Hard to believe 72 hours ago we were knocking on the door of 30°!

Dark interesting clouds all afternoon, culminating in a single thunder rumble plus heavy rain...for about 20mins ....and now a rainbow here in Mid/North Sussex against a very black background.

Clouds look to be heading east/south-east'ish..but what do I know!!!!!!I'm not a weather buff..and couldn;t possibly determine the direction etc....but there just may be  some interesting things coming towards someone in Kent?  this evening!edit...will leave this to anyone else can pick up the cell from here and track it forwards to wherever it;s going....!

Evening all. Been a mixed bag here this afternoon. Was up bright and early today, to clear blue skies, but the pavements cars etc were wet, go guess we had overnight some pretty heavy rain. This afternoon I decided to take the children to the local nature reserve. Started off fine, but dark clouds quickly developed, and have since then enjoyed a spell of sunshine and heavy showers. Seems to be clearing now, so will hopefully be able to get out in the garden later, and do some star gazing. Current temp is 14c. Feels pretty cool in the light breeze though.
