I hope the atmosphere is as volatile as the 'Manmade Climate Change Discussion' thread.

Yup! Looks like some patchy rain and light showers ahead of the front, the occlusion to come through in the early hours. So a wet Friday night and Saturday it seems!

I notice for the weather impact matrix on the weather warning page that the confidence seems to have moved up one square since yesterday.

This link may work

I guess that's because the time-scale is closer now?

I would of thought the same as Coast, since it we are much closer to the rainband coming in, the confidence has increased?

Muggy and warm out there with quite a bit of mist up at the seafront. Clouding over a bit now, but the oppressive humidity isn't abating.

Torrential rain looks very concerning

Now I'm kind of worried as NMM charts (as animated below) show an immense precipitation rate for much of the night through to tomorrow right over Eastbourne in particular. This looks like concerning stuff and the impact of such intensity and for so long could bring quite a bit of local flooding:

Let me look at how tomorrow pans out for the whole region.

To be honest I know what tomorrows weather is going to be here.

Dry with low cloud and sea fog, like every other day with any wind from the east Posted Image

It can say 200mm of rain and we will still get naff all and no thunderstorms at that.

Interesting how that area of heavy rain seems to rotate back to the north of london, as you say it does look very heavy over a certain area for a long period of time

Just check out the pink 'eye' of that lot potentially over this area and see how long that goes for. I can't believe I'm looking at rates of 25mm/hr for about 4 to 6hours!
