Thanks as always for all the charts and posts JP, have a good week wherever you are going. Its still a very humid 20c here with no hint of a breeze. The radar is livening up a bit now further south. I  think I may be awake a while yet.

Have a great Bank Holiday Weekend everyone.Posted Image

Typical, anything that goes north of the M25 decides to form! I will wait for a few more hours with my fingers crossed but yet again im not holding much hope.

Morning all. I'm still posting at this unearthly hour for no other reason than I have sleep problems at the moment.

Absolute dead calm here and it's 18c, feeling very close and muggy. With nothing much else to do I have been watching the radar on and off but it's quite apparent that most of the precipitation is evaporating before it reaches the ground here. It's been an odd night, every 20-30 minutes or so I hear a few raindrops falling ( all doors and windows open ), which last for a minute or two. Talk about false alarms.

To me personally these are exactly the sort of conditions which are crying out for 'something big to happen' ,  just to break the humidity if nothing else. An overnight event would be preferable because this being a Bank Holiday weekend lots of you folk have daytime events planned, and it would be a shame if they were washed out.

Have a good one.

Morning all, woken up twice by exceedingly heavy rain around 2am,did see one flash of lightning, thunder was miles away. OH said it actually lasted for an hour but wasn't overly exciting. About 5hrs of rain so far (so much for the forecast showing not reaching here!)

Suits me fine :)

Morning

no overnight rain here, in fact no rain at all, it all appears to have passed over rather than dropping its contents on us.

17.4oC in the shed at present, very still but also very dull and overcast.

have a nice day y'all.

Well the suns out, nuff said really, just a sprinkling of rain last night. The BBC now say that the rest of the precipitation will come from showers which means the eastern half of this region will likely receive no more rain.

Doesn't that stand for in the middle (or something like that) in Italian?Very humid this evening despite the cloud and lack of sun this afternoon... could this be the calm before the storm?!

1st person plural, present indicative, present subjunctive or imperative, from the Italian verb Attraversare (To cross over).

(Noi) attraversiamo = We cross over. Made famous by the film, "Eat, Pray, Love".

I believe in the films instance, "Lets cross over".

Think Tamara meant lets change the subject, get back on topic, though?

Tamara and Leeanne, go off and practice your conjugations.

Italian verbs, nasty impossible things. Yuk!

Anyway, this is a weather forum not an improve your Italian forum! Come on Concorde! Ah, the procrastinating Highwayman!

Attraversiamo indeed........

Tom.

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
