Time for sleep I think. The met fax charts made me sleepy by making me wait so long :p

Morning all. Wednesday saw the temperature reaching 27.3c here which came as a bit of a suprise. It's still 18c now and raining quite heavily. An outside chance of some thunderstorms tomorrow as well it seems, particularly in the north of the region.

Any lightning seen yet? That main band seems to be moving quicker then anticipated.

^^ No, but then again I don't think any was predicted for overnight. The heaviest of the rain seems to be south of London now. Later today still showing some potential for the north of our region though.

The noise of the rain has had me awake for ages, well not the rain exactly, the noise of it falling onto something metal in next doors garden. I'm going to be fit for nothing tomorrow.

Some beefy showers heading along the South Coast at the moment and a few more in the Midlands according to the radar.

Sunrise at 5.57am in London apparently, well you could have fooled me, it's like night time here and the rain is tipping it down again. A bit of flash bang wallop wouldn't go amiss.Posted Image

It's a pain isn't it?One of my neighbours has had a broken gutter for a year now, the rain pours straight on to his blue recycling bin, it's like having a very bad drummer in the street.

I love the sound of rain on the windows at night. Especially, wind and rain in the winter. It's lovely and soothing. :D

Morning Robin, morning all. I was quite suprised by the amount of rain we've had here overnight to be honest. I'm quite liking the potential for later today but wondering if the ingredients have already skipped through ahead of time ?

Started in the early hours here and dropped about 2.2mm in the last 3 hours or so. It's clearing now and we might get that sunshine back again later this morning :good:

Morning, took a look at the models, the ECM has made me grumpy again, all models show high pressure in charge except this model again
