exacly what i was thinking. they all went a bit ahead of themselves but it looks a lot hotter next week

I think Friday is due to be the hottest day, but that could all be breaking down by Friday evening.

Yes, I sincerely hope it (heavy rain) stays to our west (or better still doesn't happen at all) And the low is definitely too close for comfort for the whole weekend, I just hope it slinks off to the south sharpish. I'm pessimistic, but it's more to do with my weekend plans being busted and my suspicion of the August Bank Holiday weather than the actual charts themselves.

Some pics from Monday - Cromer

And some from today - Happisburgh

Now that has taken me back to the summer of 1979 when we went to Cromer with my aunt's family and, for the first time, stayed in a 'hotel'. I remember playing cricket on those sands as the tide came in and we were still playing the match in a foot of water, stumps floating away, unable to run, bat skimming the water and throwing spray into the breeze, carried away with the laughter. Not everyone that played in the match is around these days, so a bittersweet memory but thanks Chilly for jogging it

I see we are still waiting for this apparent very hot heatwave to appear (Rumours I have heard), Mind you as much as daylight hours are shorter, September can really pack a punch.I guess time will tell. Ahhhhh another Bank Holiday weekend incoming....Will it rain ?.Posted Image

BBC basically saying 'er we don't really know what will happen over BH weekend. Let's say rain to be on the safe side but it might change'.

Marks and Spencer have got their autumn/winter range in, so presumably it will be warm between now and November.

Raining here now.

Good news is the bbc were only 4 degrees lower than the actual maximum today, so it might not be that chilly over the weekend Posted Image
