After a dry but chilly start, here's the hill fog and rain.

All gone rather dull and drizzly here too after a blue-sky start this morning.

U would be getting snow off this setup, even as little as 4 weeks later

Feels like it's good omen that the wind and rain is all coming in from the EAST atm. Just like it was for alot of March.

I'm very quietly confident that this will be an awesome winter :-)

Some heavy rain heading into the region from the North Sea right now, looks like it might be with us for a while as well.

Yesterday it was the South East, today it's our turn I guess. But as Cyclonic Happiness alluded to, at least some weather is better than no weather Posted Image

As usual just plain light-moderate rain in Telford, not bothered posting much lately as it's the same post/weather every day just changed to cold and grey from warm and grey now , Tuesday was decent-ish though, 19c with some sun.

Oh my word well where did that spring from?? This morning, a bit of light drizzle when I went out for a walk at midday, which subsequently cleared away and I saw it moving north on the radar. The sun even came out for a bit. Then at around 5 pm it starts raining again, this time it's heavy stuff. I just looked at the radar and saw it's been heading in from the North sea! Currently 11.0oC and pouring down. Looks like it's set in as well.

Weird how much rain we get nowadays that come in from the east as opposed to the west or south west, just goes to show how dead the Atlantic has become.

Hard to imagine if that lot was of the snow variety... Some places would be getting a fair ole pasting!

Yes, it's winter type looking set up atm. There'd be thousands leaping for joy were this happening in 2 months time :-D

Correct, hours upon hours of pure whiteness city! Tomorrow would have been more than just the proverbial icing on the cake - As for Monday? Snow go...

Well not for me as I'm too far NW and I'm watching the sunset but yes a lot of PPN for many.

If this was snow you'd be enduring my rants of Telford having half a cm right now whilst everyone else was buried in a foot

A bit of a respite from the rain here right now, although there is plenty more gathering over North Sea judging by the radar.

I'm surprised no-one in the Midlands has posted anything in here today?

We must have had almost 2" of rain here since yesterday afternoon and it's still going.

I'm gonna go out flood hunting after it stops before dark.

Still trying to dry off after yesterday's outings into the wet, cyclonic happiness. :p  Yes it's still raining here, at the moment has lightened up a little but looks like another batch due that's currently over B'ham. We've had around 20 mm, so not as wet as some have had, but has been continuous rain for hours.

8.50mm of rainfall so far today according to the local weather station, on top of the 18.25mm we received from yesterday lunchtime onwards. That's a lot of rain!

Temp currently 9.7c

Torrential rain again here now, been going on for 20 minutes. The centre of the depression looks to be heading this way too. It's going to be interesting to see the centre of a depression head across the Midlands FROM THE EAST??!!!!   Very strange!
