Cloudy and cool here, nagging wind is back, at least the low cloud isn't. Just thick nimbostratus.

Quite warm with clouds, but it is now raining Posted Image Perhaps I shouldn't have washed the car this morning...

Perhaps you should have washed mine instead?! :good:

I suspect the rain will be confined to the Southern coast today:

Well after a cooler and cloudier day it has now turned warmer and sunnier, no rain here, was quite misty this morning though.

22oC in the shed at present.

Another gorgeous day. As my workplace have cut my hours down, I can now enjoy more of this weather...just with less money. Since I'm quitting in September for Uni (they don't know that yet) I couldn't care less and they can get stuffed.

I am on shifts, but we all have picked a shift we like and stick to it, so I always start early and finish early.  Got no money either, way too many bills again this month *bugger*.

I do like that, no matter what unless I do overtime I always finish in the light.

Still nice and sunny here, the washing has dried so before I can do something amazing for dinner with a pack of meat balls I need to climb the ironing mountain, oh well here goes  Posted Image

Not a bad day here warmth wise considering only fleeting glimpses of the sun, hit 22c.

Off to London tomorrow evening to watch Derren Brown's latest show, hoping it'll be sunny there so I can enjoy a pre-show cocktail outside somewhere :)

Have fun Lottie...you do realise you don't actually need a cocktail, if you ask Derren Brown nicely he can make you drunk by hypnosis ....

...but I think my meatball mania will be eaten outside and washed down with a nice bottle of pink fizz Posted Image it's a lovely evening here !

After a slow start, today turned out to be a reasonable day in the end. Hazy sunshine, early NE'ly breeze died down, and it reached a pleasant enough 21°. I see the rain over the Channel/France stayed pretty much there. (And that's because we could do with it! You can bet, if we'd had a summer dominated by Atlantic lows, that French stuff would have turned today into another washout!)

Thought this was quite interesting: http://www.meteociel.fr/observations-meteo/temperature-de-la-mer.php

SST of 20° in the Thames Estuary area at the moment. That's fairly good going for this country isn't it? (And even more impressive when you think of how cold those seas were a few months back.)

And the Mediterranean's practically a bath!

It's been lovely in Ippy after a cloudy start. That lovely soft warmth you get in late summer.

One of the cats brought an enormous caterpillar home earlier. A quick search on Google revealed that it was an elephant hawk moth caterpillar. (Below)

22.1c was the max here today but fairly pleasant with it.

On the subject of 'what the cat bought in',  I had to overcome my phobia of snakes yesterday to protect a grass snake from the close attention of my neighbours cat. It had slithered under a rock in my neighbours front garden, but the cat wasn't giving up easily. Not as dramatic as it sounds because the snake was tiny but even so.......Ironic really given that I have a photo of me holding a 6 foot python taken a few years ago whilst on holiday in the Far East.

Lol. Yes....it does look like it's blowing a raspberry. I think that is its trunk, hence 'elephant'. :)It will eventually turn into this beautiful creature..(below)

The Elephant Hawk Moth Caterpillar disguises itself as a snake to stop their primary predator...the bird, from attacking it.

Sunny morning with a nice blue sky although the temperature went down to 9.2c this morning at 5am, there certainly feels a touch of autumn in the airPosted Image . Hopefully next week will be kind on the weather front as we are off to the North Norfolk coast however it seem like the temperatures may fall a little next week and some rain about.

A big fat cheeky sun in a flawless blue sky this morning. Much damper than of late and a few misty spots on back roads around Sussex, 13.7°C is a bit down from the last week, but it looks like it is warming up slowly. Remains to see how much cloud moves in later:
