Some odd scores in the premiership this PM. Saracens had another massive win against Saints, there worst home defeat ever. Their new coach has certainly got his work cut out this summer. Very good win by Leicester against Bath in front of a big crown at Twickers. An enjoyable watch.

And the two big surprises, London Irish sticking 35 points on Quins and Worcester beating Newcastle.

After last week a brilliant win by Saints at Welford Road.

A ruthless and efficient performance by Leinster blew Scarlets away. It's very difficult to defend when the oppositions gets continuous quick ball combined with a power display from the pack.

Wasps qualify for the play offs by beating Saints in what was a pretty scrappy game. Win of the weekend probably Worcester beating Quins 44-13.

Brilliant come back by Cardiff Blues last night against Gloucester. 20-6 down at half time they won 31-30 with a late penalty.

It might sound a bit odd but although they scored 33 points Wasps were never at the races against Saracens today.

Something is not right here. He's not the first to complain about this.

Bath furious at Eddie Jones over bad injury to Beno Obano

Quote

The number of injuries suffered by players when training with England is “totally unacceptable” according to Bruce Craig, the Bath owner, who has directed scathing criticism at Eddie Jones’s methods after Beno Obano became the fifth Bath player to receive a serious injury in England training.

Obano, the Bath prop, is to miss up to 12 months due to an injury sustained in the England training camp in Brighton last week. He has been one of the breakthrough players of the season but is now almost certainly out of World Cup selection contention.

“The level of injuries in these training camps is totally unacceptable” Craig said. “What is going on in the camp? There is obviously an issue because of the number of injuries. There has got to be significant questions asked about duty of care. At Bath, we’re not having cruciate ligament injuries in training. I am unsure of whether the players are not being taken to levels that are unacceptable.”

Fully deserved win by Saracens, they were by far the better side, Good as a side as the Chiefs are they are somewhat one dimensional and on the rare occasions this fails against the very best, they seem a little bereft of a plan B.

Eng 28 - Barbarians 35    at half time.
A very entertaining 40 mins of open, attacking rugby.
Ashton scoring a hat-trick of tries for the Barbars

*So much sport today I'm torn what to watch,   lol.

Eng 45 - Barbarians 63

A great, fun match to watch i thought.
Such skilled handling especially from the Barbars.

Very poor defensive performance by England. Managed to ship 39 points whilst scoring 8 after taking a commanding lead. The pack well beaten at the breakdown and other areas.

A good tour for Wales, a double win in Argentina ( a 30-12 win today) and with a very young side.

Something very much to build on for the next couple of years.
