Been cool and miserable here up to about 1.30.  Cloud thinning and temps shot up at 1 degree every 4 mins.  Levelled off at 25.5c with DP at 64%.  Still very misty

Extremely grim here. Utter rubbish from the forecasters. Leeds will not reach 21 never mind 26/27. They have completely messed up this forecast. Shameful. 16c here and damp. This cloud off the sea has tended to spoil things quite a bit during what was a great spell of weather.

Haven't been on here since the winter blast, thought i'd pop in to see how people are enjoying the recent weather...but looks like I haven't missed much with our Adam!

Definitely been cool here today until the sun broke through mid-afternoon...hopefully looking forward to some thunderstorms...

Just had a thunderstorm pass nearby, I'm in Pocklington, storm appeared to be over towards Hull. Plenty of lightning, thunder heard in distance. Not the best view from my window but better than nothing.

I was watching some lightening to the south of me last night, over Sheffield way. Couldn't hear any thunder with it though.

This morning we already have thunder, but it's very, very misty, can't see that far away at the moment. And its moderately raining too.

A boom of thunder just woke me out of bed, seems like quite a storm going on in the Huddersfield area. Heavy rain and a lightening show.

Wow, we had two huge thunderstorms last night, one around 1am the next at 4am.

Almost continual flashing and banging during the storms. A useful amount of rain, but thankfully not flooding.

The lightening was so bright it temporarily took your eyesight and the booms resonated through

your very bones !!

For the first time ever, it made our house alarm ring even though turned off. Once it did ring, the

next two times we rushed to re-set it in time. The radio alarm came on too and the outside security lights.

I could hear the same all over our village, lol. My dog needed a little cuddle, but she was very brave.

Enjoyed it, but bit bog-eyed now.

Just heard another distant rumble.

Great start to today. Plenty of potential with some afternoon heating later too.

PS After my moan yesterday got up to a high of 24.4C in the sunshine.

Very quiet across my area at the moment - storms to the east of me, storms to the west, but I'm stuck in the middle!! Wonder if the recent cloud cover and temps across E Yorks have scuppered things for us.

It's funny :) thy massively under estimated the storm potential last night. Isolated/scattered lol. I did however thought that the biggest storm risk was tonight!!???

Manic rain in Witham st hughs about 9pm, top of the scale on my rain alarm pro app and the  first time ever  I've been offered a towel on arrival at a house!  Not the hardest rain I've ever seen tho  that was the night a few years back I had to stop the car outside robin hood airport it was like being in a car wash and my wifes plane tried three times to land before giving up and going to manchester.
