Some of the humour on Family Guy is quite viscous, but still the funniest thing on TV IMO.

What a night to live in Hartlepool, from all the forecasts I can see living at the top of a bank may have been a wise move :)

Along with Phoneshop, some of the earlier Mock The Week and Mitchell and Webb.

Father Ted > everything though!

That band is working perfectly at the moment, NW England and W Midlands; looking at a 2am lift off when it comes to precip in the region, 5-6am looks like the strongest stuff. You know that it's game on when there's two shades of purple on the HR-EC-

Haha, if it comes off I think we all may wake up somehow. Given the recent poor forecasting id say it may be a light shower

I'm not building my hopes up at all for any thunder and lightning. I'm mainly just excited about the rainfall, hoping for an early morning drive to check out some flooding around the area. I think if there are storms they are most likely to be out to sea, so a trip to the coast might be a possibility for me.

No strikes in the UK for the last hour according to the Netweather detector.

Would love to be on the coast at say 5-7am NL, will potentially be very stormy and potentially some big waves around.

Expecting around 40-60mm throughout most of the region, around 60-80mm in specific/lucky areas.

Gusts of 47mph just before it cleared about 7:30, not sure what that was about.

Around 18mm here, so not as much as further inland. Albemarle says 33mm.Mostly it has just soaked up into the dry ground with little change in river flow.

I don't know who reliable the darlo weather station rain gauge is but that is saying 53.1mm fell

Newton Aycliffe is reporting 41.9mm

Anyway thats gone now and we should get a decent afternoon with plenty of sunshine with highs around 21c

Looking at the satellite and the cloud is slowly getting thinner over the next 40 minutes so expect to brighter spells to develop in the south of the region shortly

Should be some lively showers across the region tomorrow afternoon as a trough spreads

in from the west with plenty of CAPE available,so a good chance of some thundery

activity.
