After a very cool evening spent with a Kansan family on their farm we're heading back south to get in to position for some chase action tomorrow in Texas. There's a couple of areas we're interested in so going to stay in the middle in Wichita Falls (again!) :D

Thanks Arron. I still like my initial area of E KS for getting convection to fire, but I guess shear is pretty much unidirectional so a messy line is likely.
More of a risk along the DL SW OK/TX with getting convection going but better shear with decent SRH down the DL by 00Z Thurs should turn the deepest cells.
SPC don't want to make a fuss but IMO something half decent should get going in both locations, and as they are so far apart you need to choose one or the other.
I'd probably be staying in KS as the Friday risk starts in the North (NE) and then develops south by Sat evening IMO.

Have a safe trip south.

I can't remember seeing this slight risk for hail in deep southern TX earlier

Too far away for the team to chase though. Still tomorrow may offer a surprise....
