16 Day outlook, lost it's way?

Watching the 16 day outlook over the last few days it seems to have lost it's way with respect to reality.

Today for example down here it shows a maximum temperature of 10.7C at the peak of the day, and yet we are already at 10.3C. Over the last few days it has been the same, and been wildy out of tune with reality.

I know it's only a forecast but it seems to be wildy out at the moment, compared to the 48 hour forecast it's a factor of 50% inaccurate.

I know it's only a forecast but for some reason it has become a non trusted forecast.

Any thoughts?

Seems strange it should suddenly do that as we've not made any changes to it of late. Can you tell me the specific location you're looking at and I'll see what's going on.

Ok thanks - will have a look in to it - the data looks ok so possibly a positioning issue which we can fix. We're on the cusp of a major upgrade on the forecasts too :)

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming. Week Ahead: Cool but largely dry until later in the week, when low pressure returns

We keep a chilly northerly flow going through much of the coming week, especially noticeable in the east. Cloud and rain spreading south Monday, but after that, most places largely dry until later in the week, when it looks to turn more showery. Read the full update here
