    I`ve only watched the trailer yet but I`ll watch it tonight...Posted Image Its only PG rating.

    As for dark star that was john carpenter`s first movie he directed the Halloween movies,well some of them.

    Two classic films I can think of that are worth watching are "Crack in the World" and "This Island Earth" (get out your ray gun)

    Remember this film too, the scientist in the wheelchair gives up his space and the rocket launches to the 'new world' with martian ground and was it blue trees?

    It was colouful and very entertaining and those thigh boots,good space effects colours really for the late 70`s.

    Like battle beyond the stars cult classic B movies.

    As for when worlds collide I remember a comet crashing to earth,then a planet collides with earth.

     

    This was way ahead of it time,remade in 1987 innerspace,but I prefer this original.

    that's right. simple idea but quite clever for a little story.i also really liked william shatner seeing a monster on the wing of a plane, and the odessy of the flight lost in time.

    ooh so do i, looks good, so many seem to be a good idea but then are virtually unwatchable.

     

    one i enjoyed recently was called drag me to hell, it was overthetop but a good story.

    Currently reading "The Spanish Holocaust" by Paul Preston. He is the world's foremost historian on 20th century Spain and he spent years researching it.

     

    it's a truly harrowing read. Apparently the author wept at times as he prepared what he calls "an extremely painful book to write". I had no idea the horrific extent and brutality of the atrocities. Mind nor did many others until recently. He uses the word holocaust with good reason.
