Last Book You Read or Film You Watched?

Recommended Posts

The last book I read was 'The Houses in Between' by Howard Shore. What a superb novel. I dont normally go in for fiction, but this book was a really good read. Not everyones cup of tea I should imagine but a nice window on the past

Think the US version is cut for the R rating.

Just finished The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris. A book based on the experiences of Lale Sokolov, a Slovakian Jew, during the Second World War. An extraordinary story of human resilience when surrounded by evil. I found it very moving

Watching... havn`t missed any yet all the original star trek movies again just seen star trek IV which is by far the best and funniest and sends a positive message in the movie.

Has all the colourful metaphors in on SIFI...human race is primitive and paranoid in the late 20th century.

The rating for E.T. remember was a U cert suitable for all still is I think and to remember there was scary scenes and the S word strong swearing there makes it strange as you can see here.

In Norway it was banned in 1983.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083866/parentalguide?ref_=tt_stry_pg

How they sort this rating beggers belief.

I remember the language was years ago aired on TV in the afternoon as was close encounters of the third kind what a classic that is.

As was romancing the stone at 8pm.

Better uncut.

Explains why this was upgraded to a 12cert I havn`t seen this uncut print then.

Found it quite dull to be honest, Angelina Jolie done pretty much the same role better in Salt.

Upto watching star trek V the final frontier.

Another 5 more star trek films to go.... should finish watching by march when the extreme severe blizzards from the east come with 2 foot of snow.

Star trek 10 was the last for the next generation.

Is that a question? Only thing i can think of is Liam Neeson was in a few of them but i don't remember him being in a couple of them... unfortunately he won't be in anything else after his Mel Gibson moment. 😂

He was in all of those.

He still got a lot more movies lined up....its a PC world gone mad anyway...so called hate crime is more important than real crime these days.

Mary poppins is now rascist the original from soot on her face.
