people who have to correct spelling on social media.Ā šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

People who proclaim there are already threads on aĀ subject Ā and to use the search function.

People who think they are eternally right regardless if it's wrong and won't accept others see things differently.Ā

The latest thing to tick me off..... Smart meters.

Not the idea of them, but the actual meter. Supposedly designed to encourage people to reduce their energy consumption in order to help combat climate change. They're free to install - whoopee, we've all paid for them in the 'green tariff' part of the bill that we all have to pay. And don't get me started on that..... BUT the whole thing is bonkers. Each energy provider uses a different smart meter, so if you switch provider to get a better deal (as most do these days) your smart meter won't work and they want to fit one of theirs. How much energy and materialsĀ are used to produce all these smart meters? Surely they should be universal and only be replaced when they're broken? Have they not heard of embedded energy costs?

Do they make a ticking noise because that would tick me off

comparing 2018 possible setup, to 1881! was miles before the large teapot!

imagine if winters were still like that, snow would be no excitement and a common thing, everyone sick of it! 1990's were good, imagine 1880's!

Analogue forecasts in general: IMO, for analogues to work, two or more winters would need be identical; however, like human fingerprints, each one is unique...So, until humanity passes some epistemic threshold, we'll be for ever guessing?

It's fun though!:santa-emoji:

lol, I'm not bothered about that, in work our vehicles are tracked and they go nuts if we go evenĀ 71mph so I stick to 70mph 3.5ton luton, and I sail past people just doing constant 70mph until I get to sarn hill (jct 36 m4) where it's shift down from 6th to 5th/4th to maintain speed, but van is underpowered though, in my Passat (2.0tdi 170hp estate 57 plate) I tend to go 75-80,
