UK Outlook for Monday 29 Oct 2018 to Monday 12 Nov 2018:

By the end of October and into early November weather systems may become slow-moving at times. This will lead to the risk of longer unsettled spells and, conversely, the chance of longer settled spells. Western and northwestern areas will probably see the wettest and windiest conditions, with the south and east often drier and brighter, although still with some rain at times too. During any generally settled and drier spells of weather there is an increasing risk of overnight frost and fog, especially in the north of the UK. On the whole temperatures are likely to be rather cold overall.

. From next weekend onwards it will be changeable with periods of wet and windy weather interspersed with brighter and showery spells. The heaviest rain is likely in the north and west, where there's a risk of gales. Drier, brighter in the southeast, although some wet and windy spells likely here too. Temperatures varying around average, but becoming rather cold later with an increasing risk of overnight frosts.

They obviously don't have enough confidence in them at this stage.  However, I hope those charts are indeed correct as I will be in south Wales then.

On Monday, rain will gradually spread across the south, followed by brighter conditions with blustery showers, and it will feel cooler. Thereafter, it is likely to stay changeable with periods of wet and windy weather interspersed with brighter and showery spells. The heaviest rain is likely in the north, where there's a risk of gales. Generally drier and brighter in the south, particularly in central and southwestern areas. UK Outlook for Wednesday 31 Oct 2018 to Wednesday 14 Nov 2018:

For the end of October, unsettled conditions are likely. Bands of rain could move across the country, separated by brighter and more showery conditions, especially in more northern and eastern areas. However, the southwest will probably stay more settled. Into early November, the weather pattern is likely to become slower moving. Longer spells of wet weather are likely at the start of the month, but prolonged drier spells are possible towards mid-month. During the more settled weather, fog and frost with become more likely, particularly in the north. On the whole temperatures are likely to be rather cold, but some brief milder spells are also possible.

UK Outlook for Monday 22 Oct 2018 to Wednesday 31 Oct 2018:

Monday will be dry and fine for many parts of the UK after a chilly and perhaps frosty start. However, across parts of Scotland spells of rain are expected. It will also be windy across the north with gales possible in the far north of Scotland occasionally. Thereafter, it is likely to stay generally changeable across northern areas through this period with spells of wet and windy weather interspersed with brighter and showery spells. Drier and brighter conditions are likely in the south, particularly in central and southwestern areas of England and Wales. Temperatures are expected to vary around average by day but some frostand perhaps also some patchy fog is possible overnight where skies are clear.

UK Outlook for Thursday 1 Nov 2018 to Thursday 15 Nov 2018:

Generally unsettled conditions are expected during the beginning of November, bringing spells of wet and windy weather. The heaviest rain is likely across northern and perhaps eastern parts of the UK. The best of the drier and brighter weather is likely in southwestern areas, though some rain is still expected here at times. There are tentative signs that pressure will build across northern areas towards the end of this period, bringing a greater likelihood of drier weather here and also overnight fog and frost but confidence is currently low. Changeable conditions are then more likely across the south. On the whole, temperatures are likely to be below normal, but some milder spells are likely in periods of wet weather.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 23 Oct 2018 to Thursday 1 Nov 2018:

The start of the period will be mainly dry across most areas, although it could be rather cloudy. The best of the sunshine is likely in the southwest. However, the far north will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain, turning heavy at times in the northwest. It will also be windy across the north with gales possible in the far north of Scotland. Thereafter, it is likely to stay generally changeable across northern areas through this period with spells of wet and windy weather interspersed with brighter and showery spells. Drier and brighter conditions are likely in the south, particularly in central and southwestern areas of England and Wales. UK Outlook for Friday 2 Nov 2018 to Friday 16 Nov 2018:

More widely unsettled conditions could develop during the beginning of November, bringing spells of wet and windy weather. There are signs that high pressure may build across northern areas towards the end of this period, bringing a greater likelihood of drier weather here and also overnight frost and fog. Changeable conditions are more likely to continue across the south and west. On the whole temperatures are likely to be below normal, but some short lived milder spells are likely in periods of wet weather.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 24 Oct 2018 to Friday 2 Nov 2018:

Any rain in the north early on Wednesday should clear to the east. Otherwise, plenty of fine weather on Wednesday and Thursday, with the best of the sunshine in the south and west, once early mist and fog clears. By the weekend and into next week, it looks like staying changeable in the north, with a mixture of rain and showers, interspersed by drier, brighter interludes. Some heavy rain is possible in the far northwest at times, with some snow likely for higher ground in Scotland. Generally dry and sunny conditions across the south, although occasional cloud and some rain is likely at times. Strong winds possible in the north and east at times. Temperatures around average at first, turning colder by the end of October and into early November.

UK Outlook for Saturday 3 Nov 2018 to Saturday 17 Nov 2018:

A north to northwesterly scenario is looking likely during this period, with changeable conditions dominating across northern parts at first. However, conditions may turn more widely unsettled at times, with heaviest rain and stronger winds more likely to be across the north. By mid-November there are signals for high pressure to develop to the north of the UK, with 'blocked' conditions becoming established. This may result in fog and frost becoming more likely, especially in the north. Meanwhile, more changeable conditions may become established across the south and west, with some rain at times. Temperatures are likely to be mostly below normal, with a greater likelihood of frost as well as some snow for higher ground in the north. Any milder spells are likely to be short-lived.

UK Outlook for Thursday 25 Oct 2018 to Saturday 3 Nov 2018:

On Thursday, mainly dry weather is expected in the south, but patchy rain and stronger winds in the north are likely to spread south. From Friday, a change to much colder weather accompanied by sunshine and showers is expected. By next weekend, cold northerly winds will probably bring snow to higher ground in the north and perhaps occasionally to low levels here also. However snow is unlikely to settle at low levels. It will be windy with gales in places, especially the east. Night frost could become widespread with icy patches possible. Many places will become dry and bright from the northwest by the end of next weekend However, more changeable and at times windy conditions will probably become established at the end of this month and going into November.

UK Outlook for Sunday 4 Nov 2018 to Sunday 18 Nov 2018:

The weather may be changeable and windy at times with bands of rain or showers, especially in the north. The rain could change to snow at times on northern hills. Cold nights are likely at times with a risk of ice on roads and pavements in the mornings. Towards the middle of the month, there are signs that high pressure may become more dominant to the north, bringing more generally settled conditions at times. However, fog and frost would become more likely. Meanwhile, more changeable and milder weather may become established across the south, with some rain here at times.

That’s a bit of a downgrade on yesterday’s outlook, but plenty of twists and turns to come.

But the further outlook posted by Gavin is a big upgrade with mention of snow to lower levels in the north.:)

UK Outlook for Friday 26 Oct 2018 to Sunday 4 Nov 2018:

Much colder weather will establish itself across all parts by the end of Friday. The cold feel will be exacerbated by strong northerly winds, touching gale force in parts of the north and northeast. These will blow in plenty of showers, turning wintry, especially across the high ground of northern Britain, but perhaps to lower levels at times in the far north. Widespread overnight frost is likely, with icy stretches where showers have occurred. Then becoming drier from the northwest into the following week, although spells of rain could affect the east and southeast for a time, before a more generally changeable pattern develops as we move into November. Generally staying on the cold side with further overnight frost.

UK Outlook for Monday 5 Nov 2018 to Monday 19 Nov 2018:

The weather looks changeable and windy at times with bands of rain or showers, interspersed with drier, quieter spells. The wettest and windiest weather is most likely across parts of the north, with perhaps some snow at times over the mountains. Towards the middle of the month, there are signs that high pressure may become more dominant to the north, bringing more generally settled conditions here, but with a greater incidence of overnight frost and fog. Meanwhile, more changeable weather may remain dominant across the south, with some rain here at times, although with any milder spells being short-lived.

An issue with the dates not updating at present yesterday's update has now come through and it should cover 27th to 5th

It will be noticeably colder next weekend, with frosty and perhaps icy starts. A cold northerly wind is expected, which may be touching gale force in parts of the north and northeast. There will be sunshine and showers during the daytime, which could bring a mixture of sleet and snow to the tops of the hills and mountains in the north, but perhaps to lower levels at times in parts of Scotland. Into the following week the forecast becomes more uncertain, but it may be drier and more settled to begin the week, before a return of wet and windy weather. It looks to be staying generally on the cold side, with further overnight frost.

UK Outlook for Sunday 28 Oct 2018 to Tuesday 6 Nov 2018:

By Sunday a cold arctic airflow will be in place across the UK, bringing a good deal of sunshine and some heavy showers, mainly around eastern coastal areas. Hail and thunder is likely, with snow showers over higher ground in the north, and it will feel bitter in exposed areas. Confidence lowers by Monday, but it is most likely that many places will see a dry and bright day with showers continuing in the east, but widespread frost overnight. From Tuesday a spell of increasingly unsettled weather looks likely, with showers or longer spells of rain between brighter interludes. Gales or severe gales can be expected, but temperatures should begin to recover to around normal by Friday with milder, unsettled conditions likely to dominate until the end of the period.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 7 Nov 2018 to Wednesday 21 Nov 2018:

Mild but unsettled conditions are likely to be in place by the second week of November with dry and bright spells interspersed with bands of rain or showers. Confidence into and beyond the middle of November is low, but there are some signs of high pressure developing which could help to divert weather systems away from the UK. If such a scenario develops then longer settled spells could bring largely dry conditions, but a greater chance of overnight frost and fog, and daytime temperatures below normal. Any rain or showers could fall as snow over northern hills, and any milder interludes are likely to be short-lived.
