UK Outlook for Wednesday 22 Aug 2018 to Friday 31 Aug 2018:

Cloud and rain will sink south on Wednesday across central areas of the UK. To the south, it could stay dry with some warm spells of sunshine. To the north, it will turn fresher with sunshine and showers. Rain will likely clear across the south by Thursday and it will fresher for all with sunny spells and heavy showers in the north. Through the rest of the week and weekend there will probably be a good deal of dry, bright or sunny weather, especially in the south, while the far west and northwest will have some thicker cloud and rain at times. This weather pattern is quite likely to continue through the rest of the period, with temperatures probably around normal, but perhaps rather cool in the north and northwest.

UK Outlook for Saturday 1 Sep 2018 to Saturday 15 Sep 2018:

During this period it looks likely that the weather pattern will only change slowly. Areas of high pressure and associated settled weather are likely to dominate across the south and southeast, bringing generally dry and bright weather here. More changeable conditions with outbreaks of rain and strong winds are likely across the north and northwest, perhaps extending southeastwards at times. Through September, confidence in the forecast decreases. However, we will probably see longer dry and settled spells at times, these perhaps becoming more dominant than previously in the north and northwest. Temperatures by day are likely to be generally warmer than average, but there will an increasing chance of chillier nights.

UK Outlook for Monday 27 Aug 2018 to Wednesday 5 Sep 2018:

For Monday, the Bank Holiday except in Scotland, there will be a fair amount of sunshine everywhere, but temperatures will feel on the cool side in a brisk breeze. There will also be a few blustery showers around. From Tuesday, wind and showers will ease, except in the far northwest where they may intensify. Some rain is likely on Wednesday across the UK, but the end of the week looks like becoming dry and bright away from the far northwest, though nights will be relatively cool. At the start of September there are signals for dry, bright and warm weather to become more widely established, though short spells of wind and rain may affect northern and western parts at times.
