The Met used to issue flash warnings but at the moment they've stuck with their original warnings, and the BBC pretty much broadcast what the Met tell them, wrong or right.

mostly they broadcast what they want. if they broadcast what the met tell them, non of their own forecasts would be at odds with the met forecast lol

Looks to be dying off soon though... Cummon snow, do a 2010 and just go mental!

Have you noticed that nobody else around the country wants it to snow in the NW lol?

I follow the likes of Ian F and Matt H on twitter, and they always mention about it snowing elsewhere, NE, East, SW, London, Scotland etc, and never even give the NW a thought - random?

Radar seems a bit all over the place today. We should have very light snow at the moment but is coming down quite nicely. Love te way the snow is showing through the clouds at the moment.

What's interesting is that outside of the town I don't think there was a thaw of Friday's snow. Must be some good depths around the greenbelt now.

I wonder what the Oxberry will have in store for us this evening? Maybe she'll go mental with a "wtf was that?"

Snow is a lot lighter than it has been for the last 2 hrs, flakes have got very small but still quite intense smile.png

Looks like it could be clearing from the South soon?

Looks to me like it looks like it's getting much lighter across the eastern part of the region. Let's hope there is an intensification again like this morning!

Looks like its clearing south of the region now, shame, had great potential, still got a nice 3" here or maybe more though - cant see why the NAE is picking up snow for later, cant see where it's supposed to come from?
