This is the 6th consecutive day with snow falling here. Just a shame that 2m temps have been a little too high, allowing the snow to thaw. If temps had stayed around or below freezing we would easily have had about 20cm of snow on the ground.

Still, quite a snowy period overall

The Met warning of heavy snow here is the kiss of death lol Got nearly 2 inches of snow on Monday which wasn't forecast so you can guarantee it will rain on Friday! If it comes off as written here then it would be a noteworthy event before it turns to rain.

Further snowfall is likely as another weather front moves across the UK from the Atlantic. 2-5 cm is likely in the south, with 5 to 10 cm more likely in parts of the north (with perhaps up to 15 cm over northern hills). Strong winds will also lead to drifting, particularly over higher level roads in the north.

The public should be aware of possible disruption, particularly to travel.

We do some to have had quite a lot of time spent with snow falling during this spell, without much to show for it. What are the odds that it will hammer it down on Friday, just before it starts to rain?!
