Meto seem to want to keep the snow around for most of the day today so some areas could really get a good amount (6+ inches?)

Very odd that the west coast is colder and had more snow than some inland locations, not complaining though and it's still snowing.

Schools in St helens still open at the moment! We are being kept up to date on any developments. Is it still snowing in St helens as now at work near blackburn?

When I went to bed there was light snizzle here with 1.5c

Thankfully, the temperature dropped close to 0c overnight and I managed to get a cm on my balcony and the car park across the road is also white. None on the roads though.

Still, it is better than I was expecting.

Very light snow falling now, not making any difference to what is already on the ground.

There is nothing here cray.gif

It tried around midnight and looks like it might be trying again now but to be honest it just looks as though its rained, so the snowless winter continues herewallbash.gif

Just listening to the local radio and the disruption is unbelievable especially in and around here over western areas. Carlisle to Skipton rail line is closed until they can get a snow plough on the line! Must be some large totals in places.
