It's almost gone from gillingham. Looking at radar I wonder if that chunk out on the Atlantic will make it in and across tonight.

Well the snow has finally stopped in Bromley. I've totalled 13cm on an untouched bin.

Drove to Farningham where totals were 15-20cm. 3 inches fell on my car in 3 hours!

Main roads between bromley and the A20 are clear for tomorrow's commute (for those interested). Chislehurst hill has been treated and had nothing on it at 18.30. I'm traveling to bexleyheath for a 7am start, and I imagine the biggest problem will be the ice.

Fantastic totals. Deepest since 2010.

Better look out of your window because the ppn which was moving away from our areas has actually pushed back and the snow is getting heavy again good.gif

It's not lightning, thundersnow is RARE. So rare that Mr Weather himself Jim Cantore goes nuts if he hears and sees it!!

No lightning around!

lightning.jpg

because of the snow and cloud would the sparks from the trains going over the rail be reflected back

No that looks to slide just to our south tomorrow eve. A slight nudge north though and we are on for an unexpected top up.

Today really was the main event, still lightly snowing after 10-12 hours of heavy snow! Around 6 inches everywhere. Is there more on the way? For once I'm kind of hoping it eases as I need to fly tomorrow night...

Started snizzling again here in Chertsey in the far nw, a band formed on the radar right overhead, and has now joined with the London mass?? Been an odd day, been right on the margin, but it just hasn't stopped.

How long will this snow be on the ground for? I'm hoping at least a few days!

Another slightly heavier burst has developed over Purley / croydon that sort of area- worth maybe worth another 1cm-

Still going here- 10cm

S

Bet you're chuffed with that mate!

Hi all,

Yesterday. there were 'joke' photos being posted of a road dug out from VERY deep snow. I have gone back but it is taking too long to find one. If anyone can post one or tell me where to find one, I'll be grateful. Thanks

I've noticed that other spots have also developed - just the norm or something else at work?

Well I have managed a respectable 10cm today well chuffed with that certainly more than I expected. Had a great day throwing snowballs for the dogs even if they did decide to mess up all my snowcover. Roads are pretty bad out so anyone driving please be careful.
