Even if your car is iced over please, please clear the windows. My dad was recently killed on the footpath by a driver who appears to not have cleared his windscreen/windows.

So sorry to hear that K66yla :(

Snow light most of the day in Reading, although added a few cms.

Anyone know why we have had melting snow with temp -1 and -1 dew point? Been melting on cars, wood and pavements.

anybody know if we will get snow or rain tomorrow evening? Simon Parkin mentioned Rain in his forecast for East Sussex and Kent earlier and i am really hoping that this is not the case!!

OOOh, do tell me more as I drive that line?? Not a frieght though?? Pulling a failed Networker or 319???

yep pulling the networkers back up to charing x i should imagine.. couldnt see the diesels as by the time i got to the window that had passed but networkers were blacked out with flashing rear red lamp lights.. another one just gone up same thing... so i imagine line is down or something or loco's failing?? one was really struggling to get to lower sydenham earlier today start/stop prob managed 5mph top.

Just took final snow measurement while husband is elsewhere (yep, he thinks I'm part of the snow mad brigade!) - 10cm. V happy, more sledging today, more snow walks. GREAT:)

Still snowing amazing really.

Will be putting our very patriotic Snowman up on here soon along with the Igloo we built (I kid you not) !!!

Very decent day, going to venture out and about tomorrow once I have shovelled the snow outta the way of the car and get some scenic snaps!

It looks amazing out there!

Defo for some.

Looking at the depths posted I think the heavier stuff was actually further west in the end.

I don't think so - what has caused that impression is that we had significant lying snow - it is impossible to measure it here because we had lying snow this morning. But I'd guess 6cm new snow today - I think people in the East beat that?

Well the snow has finally stopped in Bromley. I've totalled 13cm on an untouched bin.

Drove to Farningham where totals were 15-20cm. 3 inches fell on my car in 3 hours!

Main roads between bromley and the A20 are clear for tomorrow's commute (for those interested). Chislehurst hill has been treated and had nothing on it at 18.30. I'm traveling to bexleyheath for a 7am start, and I imagine the biggest problem will be the ice.

Fantastic totals. Deepest since 2010.
