Small bit of precipitation coming slightly NW towards the west of the region past Crewe on the 19:50 radar.

Yes I noticed this ,with any luck it will carry on.

Some in the Yorkshire thread are worried that the snow won't be far enough west.

Good job they aren't on our side of the Pennines.

I think Bradford etc are in prime position.

Yes I noticed this ,with any luck it will carry on.

Looks like it is trying to move NW and looking closely the PPN between Brum and Stoke seems a little better organised.

We may get a dusting yet !

Just that if folk in Huddersfield and Halifax are worrying that they may be to far west to be in the firing line then ourselves at leat 15 miles further west should be more worried.

TBH the flow coming up looks more NW orientated for the moment so i don't think those in Yorkshire have much to worry about and hopefully neither have we.

Yeah looking at the sky news forecast it had us on the edge of it so with the easterly wind we may just see something worthwhile!

Forecast then shows us with a bigger chance if something heavier

That patch of snizzle extending from the E midlands to south of our region has been nailed in place all afternoon. But definitely another more organised band heading NW sliding along the top of the stationary stuff. It all boils down to what those pesky Pennines do to it before it gets here as to whether we get a dusting or zip!

Typical! We've spent all day in Bradford (driving through drizzle on the pennines both ways, 11.30am and 5.30pm) and there wasn't even a flurry! Now home to much of the snow having thawed and not a flake in sight!

Well, at least my brother (London) has had his first ever day of snow on his birthday in 38 years!!! :-)
