Slipping away north even more now. Stourbridge just coming out of the snow according to the radar and we're next. Still managing to come down here though!

Thanks Gord, it's still going here at the moment, but judging by the roads it's probably just as well it's stopping!

Looks to my relatively untrained eye that there's still more to come over the next few hours. There's a band of precipitation north west of London that's got our name on it.

Yep. We look set for a few hours more, I'd say. Like you my eye is untrained though!

This has to be one of the best cold spells i can remember! Granted im only 18 haha but still is brilliant, even if the cold spell does end the weekend this will still be memorable! but who knows if it will come to an end, granted the models are in agreement but that is still +120 hours out, it could all still change, considering todays snowfall wasn't particularly accurate from 12 hours out! More fun and games to come im sure, and if there isn't I have many more winters to come!

Love it!!

Still snowing here but we are right on the southern tip of it.

11 hours of snow here but only a cm of fresh snow due to it being snizzle most of the day, did the trick for filling in areas that had thawed at least.

Judging by today's charts that may be our lot now unless the GFS is onto something for next weekend.

Just been for a walk up into Upper Gornal itself. Some very deep snow where it has drifted..well over a foot on my road in spots. The main road is in a terrible state. Absolute ghost town except the bad karaoke coming from the local pub!

Still snowing lightly.

Just been for a lovely walk , crunchy under foot, but what I like the best is everything is all so still, there's something very therapeutic about fresh snow fall...also,had a random snowball fight with strangers ....all good fun. 4 inches and still snowing...enjoy it people

18th December 2010

4th February 2012

Now go back in time to winter 2008 and give that list to the West Midlands members of Netweather. They need cheering up!

lol great post! I remember the 'snowless ages' very well - how times have changed.

PS you should add 18th February 2010 to that list as well, huge fall associated with evaporative cooling smile.png
