Just been on a dash to tesco express for essentials and have to say I'm now quite worried about people's prospects of getting to work in the morning, mine included, still these tiny flakes coming down quickly and readily covering main roads, if it does get any heavier there are going to be serious problems in the morning!

Can't believe it's been snowing since about 9 am and seems we have only had 1-2 CM

Only has 1-2 cm? Wow. I have had around another 2 or three inches where I am since this morning.

Went to the local shop earlier and asked if they'd had any panic buying, they said yes they had and that all the bread, milk and eggs were gone.

I then asked how many folk said they'd been sent home from work and the shop keeper said 'most'.

well, correct me if i'm wrong, but I always take sandwiches to work every day and therefore get through a fair bit of bread, but atm i'm on standby, slowly using up this year's holiday pay and I'm not using 4/5 of the amount of bread that i usually do???

So why are folk panic buying bread?? weird??

Panic buy rice or pasta or tins, not bloomin bread lol????!! rofl.gif

Yeah telford probably the extreme NE limit, most areas seeing a dry week

Really??? I was under the impression the Tuesday event had slipped much further south. Things are looking up.

Strange how some have had inches. My ins had another 1-2CM but anywhere not immediately covered in snow, paths, roads, patios, roofs have virtually completely thawed.

We've had pellet snow falling since 6pm Thursday for all bar 7-8 hours last night.

Imagine totals of that would have come down all at ONCE!

STILL snowing in Shrews

This'll go down for me as a memorable day so far in the 21st century here snow wise

Must've had inches today looking at it!

This has been our turn after missing out until Friday (even that was poor here compared to many in West Mids

Slipping away north even more now. Stourbridge just coming out of the snow according to the radar and we're next. Still managing to come down here though!
