A late prediction (sorry) as I didn't actually know this thread was here until the other day, when some very helpful people told me :D

If I still can, I'll go with 2.8C please :)

a rather mild 5.8C registered for the 1st.

Will see a drop tomorrow as last night was only 0.5C and maxes are widely 5 or 6 in the zone today.

Allthough feeling very chilly in the first week, we should only regress back to about 4C by the end of the first week as windy condtions keep minimas mostly just above freezing.

Should in around 4.3C or so on tomorrows update.

After that, the 12z GFS has the CET at

4.2C to the 3rd (3.9)

4.5C to the 4th (5.6)

4.1C to the 5th (2.5)

3.9C to the 6th (2.5)

3.7C to the 7th (2.6)

3.5C to the 8th (1.9)

3.3C to the 9th (2.0)

A roughly average CET up to the 10th looking quite likely.

It's nice to have something that is just average, rather than the chopping and changing of above and below.

Completely forget about the turn of the month, punish and smite me as you will.

Cold spell to begin, temps averaging out and month ending on a SW and milder period 4.4c

Roger,

Just back from holidays....

I was unable to access the network as I suggested in my post number 56 of the January Comp thread.

In that I said if that situation existed could I put a placemaker in for -1.1C.

Could I take this option please?

It may be miles too low, but its better than not taking part?

Two points,

Midlands Ice Age -- your previously listed forecast (I remember it) is between you and Jackone but I will list it in my table, and

Mark Bayley and MIA -- I thought the deadline was the end of the 3rd which means neither of you is actually too late with those entries (if you thought so). Check with Jackone.
