Thats great, get out there and enjoy it with the children. They must be so excited. It's also great to see the adults even more excited than the children!!!lol

In terms of stalling or whether there will be a thaw, still waiting for the latest NAE but I think at the moment Portsmouth eastwards should probably avoid that but I'll have more news after the morning outputs.

thank you (;

Any chance it could actually become a tiny bit heavier, had a flury ongoing for around 1hr 30 mins now, Grr lol

Mate im in Thame, didn't bother going to work today, it's been moderate snow here for about an hour and its given a light covering already. Really blowing around in the wind to. Should get some heavier stuff later.

Light snow now currently, wonder if we can get a couple more heavier bursts before it weakens.

Dont u just love those south easterlies in this type of set up?!

suprised to see some in Poole and Bmouth moaning???

Just think back between 1996 and 2008 hardly anything.....

Interesting to note our bigger falls over the past 3 years have been due to E/SE winds rather than a northerly....Our winter pattern in the UK has certainly changed and long may it continue!!!

5cms here in Poole!

Just over 2cm here with the heaviest stuff just about to start. Probably best described as light to moderate snow at the moment, so hoping that it gets a bit heavier. Good chance that there will be at least 10cm here.

Optimum conditions here Intense moderate snow, fine dry blowing about.

Radio says that Bembridge getting bad now in the East wight.

Sow now we have No trains and all parts of the island are getting bad regarding driving.

Love it now here cos I am home and Mrs is back after epic attempt to get to work, she looks like a snowman.

Time to get up and get breakfasted. I have a horrid feeling I may make it to the pub later, but not make it back out... whistling.gifdrinks.gif

That happened to me in Spain once. Stuck there for 24 hours. Absolutely awful.

Just been sleet and rain in Exeter where I am, huge dissapointment for me, still holding out for a good snow fall at some point but I fear we may always be just that tad bit too mild....Hopefully a beautiful Devon summer will make up for it.

I was kind of hoping for a repeat of Winter 2010/11 nonono.gif

BBC weather on bbc1 just now indicating snow for much of our area past midday.

For the East of our region - Glos, cotswolds,Wilts, hants, dorset, berks - looks like an all-dayer!
