Thanks for all advice, have been dangling out bathroom window with broom but can't quiet reach! Our school is closed too thankfully as didn't want to drive in this! And yes I will be going out very shortly just good to know what's happening around the country, getting VERY heavy now. ..

My friend has just told me that her road hasn't been gritted, and whilst it's not a main road it does access a hospital. She's had to ditch her car cos of no traction. I think Bristol are being very stingy with the grit.

Doesnt surprise me - Bristol S#itty Council has to be one of the most inefficient councils in the land!

The Island has started to block. Hunny hill in Newport, the Downs roads are all bad now, Cars turning around in Arreton. Here in Freshwater it is still snowing.

The last no3 bus is now leaving Newport, says the IoW radio.

OMG I'm so excited! It's snowing big fast flakes here in Exeter one very happy lady! I looked out window around 6am this morning and it was rain but now the snow - starting to settle on grass and shed roof
