Just had this through from the Met Office - there'll be no radar data coming through from them for three hours on Wednesday afternoon...

Please note that due to an essential upgrade of Met Office systems there will be a planned outage of the Met Office radar system on Wednesday 16th January starting at 1400 UTC.

This is expected to last approximately three hours.

Therefore there will no new radar available during this time. When the system is restored the missing data will not be available.

The timing of the outage is taking into account the likely weather at that time and therefore may be postponed if significant weather is expected to occur.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
