Well, finally what looks to happen seems nailed. 18z GFS is nearly identical to 12z, same story for NAE. Very slight downgrade with regards to intensity on the GFS precipitation itensity chart, but it's a negligible amount.

Anyone noticed that the METO have not updated East Mids forecast since 4 this afternoon, still saying the odd light flurry!!

Not sure if GFS is more of a downgrade than I initially thought. Uhm.

Reckon it'll be a case of check the radar tomorrow and looking outside from now on, this evening indicates that well.

not sure tomorrow's event is going to be that exceptional for us here in the east midlands. Yes we will get some snow but I hardly think 2-5cm is mega snowfest. I just hope we get 10cm plus but I'm not holding my breath. Is Northampton really East Midlands?....I never know.

Officially yes. But we are at the very far south of the East Mids.

Is that good or bad for tomorrow's snow?

NAE seems a fairly big downgrade tbh. Gd job tonights improved things

Why oh WHY are you looking at charts +12hrs max? Not the most accurate method now, we should all know this by now.

Could anyone answer this please, in my location (small village near ashby de la zouch) I am probably 5miles outside of the amber zone, but bang in the middle of the yellow zone, however I only have light snow forecast tomorrow and Saturday with not a period of heavy snow, so if I get 10cm is it going to built up over 48 hours?
