Im at work in Heanor but live in south Notts. Is it getting bad there? Up here in Heanor its still going strong big flakes and loads of it. Settling on all surfaces now.

I wouldn't fancy going up or down Heanor hill this afternoonshok.gif

Yes its still bad here and been constant for the past hour, like I said even main roads now have a white coating, the question is can we hold it as snow

I'll be doing that on my way home. Snowing very heavy up here and has been since 10ish. No sign of it stopping and the sky still dark. Front stalling?

Hopefully. We normally do quite well in marginal snowy events this side of the M1 ... dont know why?? Slightly more elevation i think :-)

It certainly doesn't look like turning to sleet.

From the radar you should be in the heavy stuff in Heanor at the moment, but it still seems to be pushing through (it looks like it has cleared Ashbourne). As far as South Notts goes, the further south you are the warmer the air is likely to be this afternoon, so it may not be so bad there later on.

Eased right off in coalville now and got light drizzle in with the flakes. don't think it will do too much damage to the cover tho. would think the fronts about cleared now but i can't check the radar
