cloudy no wind and the odd flake floating down, after snow earlier, lowest =now at 0.4C with the ground about 65% snow covered, not been out but about 1cm

Now I have been out and its light=correction, the ground is less than half covered so no snow depth

0.9C and fairly light snow spreading from the west, currently starting to get heavier. The overnight minimum was 0.7C, so pretty marginal conditions.

There was about 80% snow cover, about a centimetre deep, at 0900 which made this the first official "snow lying day" of the winter here. Snow cover is now down just below 50% following a slow thaw after 8am, but if the current snow gets much heavier it should start to settle.

There is a thick layer of stratus and it is rather misty at the moment.

some light snow in the early hours gave a dusting of probably about 0.5cm on grass, trees etc in Egham.

light precipitation moved in during the last hour which started off as snow but progressed through sleet and is now very light and almost rain.

Edit: slightly heavier and turned back to snow again.. for now. Not settling though.
