Steady light snow. Maybe a touch heavier than an hour ago.

Temp 1.9C.

Everything plastered in thin white coat, including car.

Very "Christmassy". We deserve it after putting up with so much rain in 2012.

Anyone in Wirral around? Looked at a few PWS stations and the temperatures in some places are even more favourable than here, and dewpoints lower. Can someone in Wirral go out and see if it is settling by them?

It's 1.5 above in Wallasey and no snow - just wet on the ground from the rain this afternoon :-(

Thanks, it's still snowing a little here, but has that sharp sleety feel to it now, whats more is the wind is changing direction too so temperatures may start to rise soon.

The band of precipitation has intensified along the coast. As this moves further south and east it should give a period of snow to most areas of our region. Whether it will settle is another story and either way it will be gone tomorrow.

With a breeze from the Irish sea -5 uppers are not cold enough unless you have elevation.

Well thats a bit crap then... Still think there's a chance as the front clears. Looks like there will be some showers afterwards to me.

I could not rule out a snow shower or two tommorow night. Hopefully it be in bands of them.

Yes, the showers tomorrow (late pm/evening) may well be wintry at times as colder uppers start to move in.

Surely very unlikely though, today was always very marginal but still far better than Mondays chances.

Did expect far more PPN today though, whatever it would have fallen as.

Truth hurts! lol

You can already see the showers getting organised in Northern Ireland. The developing northwesterly flow will blow them here but they will be mainly of rain...

Coming down softly now as in proper snow, not sleety, still not covering anything though.
