sp1986 - you are only virtually up the road and you have snow? Wirral is weird for weather though isn't it?

It's snow but sleety in nature, and occassionally had rain mixed in.. it's snowing on Bebington and Bromborough too, along with Neston, and Chester.

I expecting the sleet to turn back to snow tonight just in time to give 2 cm. Its not a non-event for me though its an half-event. other half is not happening, but that is snow stick to the ground.

We had a few flakes earlier but then drizzle. Nothing since. I'm not even bothered about it sticking to be honest - I just love watching it fall

turned lighter to rain now! Humidity is 100% again.. dewpoint above 0C and it makes a little more sense than before.

Looking at the radar where is 2 cm possibly coming from?

Pure snow falling here, very light though

This band is a very weak affair it has to be said.

How come the BBC weather just lied to us this time last night we are pretty confident to have snow here with 5cm in places. Its just not on. Last few hours ago we are expecting a complete snow event but now it is just the snow to rain event again!! I pretty fed up by them lying to us everytime we gonna get snow.

Enough of me ranting. it stopped snowing here now.

Is this band of precipitation expected to intensify? (if so how) , because if it doesn't i can see it all clearing the region in an hour or 2 and leaving nothing behind just wet roads and footpaths, it s stopped completely now
